If you’re traveling without a car, motivated to surf and always game for a party, the Beach house is the place for you. If you roll right out of bed and out the door, you’ll land straight on the beach or in a bar!
Timing:
The Element Called Water Beach house in Vieux Boucau is open for you from the 13th of June to the 2nd of July 2010.
Location:
Our massive beachfront house is located in the Surf city of Vieux-Boucau, right on the sand dunes. You won’t have to hop into a car or march for hours to get to the beach, as it’s literally on our doorstep. From our surf camp you’ll have a beautiful view of the Ocean and you won’t miss a single Surf session. And located in the same region is the Surf Mecca known as Hossegor, which is easily reached with a short car ride.
Housing:
The Beachfront house, on the middle dune of the beach is simply Pimptastic, with spacious, well-lit rooms. This jewel has got 7 rooms in various sizes that’ll accommodate 2 to 4 people per room. And we are the only ones there as they’ve since banned building houses there, so we definitely have the exclusivity.
Food:
We’ll serve you a full breakfast buffet every morning so you won’t be short of energy when you catch your first session. 3 times a week we’ll invite you to a BBQ or such. And if you feel like it, there are a bunch of restaurants located nearby that will offer up some of the local specialties. Of course you can use our refrigerator and grill any time you like.
Entertainment:
Besides Surfing, Surfing and more surfing, our lounge offers you the chance to catch a movie, play some poker, get a game in of Foosball or enjoy the bar. We’ve also got plenty of space for Frisbee, Volleyball, Soccer and other activities. Keep in mind you are living by the Ocean. In addition to those activities, if you’re keen, you can test your skills on the nearby paintball fields or Go-kart track. If you simply want to chill, our Hammocks offer the ideal spot. And after a sunset session, a nice cold beer at the nearby bar will be the perfect way to kick off your night out, with multiple clubs to choose from.
Equipment:
Depending on the deal you’ve got, you can pick from our selection of boards. From long to short boards, it’s all available. If you’ve got your own boards, we got plenty of space for you to keep’em. And considering the temperature of our local breaks, we’ve also got wetsuits for you to borrow.
Surfing:
The beach breaks right outside our doorstep offer quality waves for every level, whether you’re a beginner or pro. We’ve teamed up with the local surf school “Authentique – Ecole de surf”, who manage our courses. Before you paddle out, we’ll give you a solid foundation with Tips and Tricks to manage the surf. The 2 licensed surf instructors from the Surfrider Association France, with their course material, will guarantee that you’ll be catching waves in no time. www.authentique-ecoledesurf.com
Arrival:
Rip Curl Express:
The Rip Curl express has been in action since 2008. The shuttle will pick you up in Bern or Zurich and deliver you to France and back at the ridiculous price of CHF 210.- We’ll pick you up when you arrive and bring you safely to the ECW Surf camp. There’s definitely space for your surfboard, as long as it isn’t longer than 2.1 meters. Be sure to reserve your spot early as “the early bird does get the worm.”

1.Car: Drive via Geneva-Lyon-Clermont-Ferrand-St. Etienne-Bordeaux, direction Bayonne. Exit Dax, then direction Vieux-Boucau. We recommend this route if you plan to get here on your
own from Switzerland
2.Train: Direct night train from Geneva to Dax (End station Biarritz). We’ll happily pick you up for a minimal fee of 20 Euro per ride from the Train station in Dax.
3.Plane:Flights to Biarritz Airport. We’ll also happily pick you up at the Airport for a minimal fee of 40 Euro per ride.
