Timing:
Our newly added Element Called Water Surf camp in Famara is available to you for 5 weeks, from 30.10. – 04.12.2010.

Location:
The camp is based in Famara, in the northwestern part of Lanzarote. The charming little village is situated at the base of beautiful cliffs and has access to kilometer long sandy beaches and a few beautiful reef breaks. The best surf spots on the island are quickly and easily reached.

Housing:
You’ll be staying in a typical island style condo in 4 person apartments. All apartments have a small kitchen, refrigerator, living room, and bath/toilet. The apartments are shared in groups of four and there is plenty space.

Food:
We’ll serve you a full breakfast buffet daily to ensure you are strong and ready to hit the waves. As the apartments also have kitchens, you can cook your meals. Lunches are included in the surf lesson. At night you can test out the local specialties in town. There is a diverse selection of restaurants and tapas bars for you to try out. We’ve also got a few secret tips that we’ll be happy to share with you.

Entertainment:
Besides surfing, surfing and more surfing, Lanzarote offers plenty to discover. The best way to get around is definitely to rent a car. The streets are good, there’s little traffic and short distances. There’s a selection of bars and the city of Arrecife will offer a change in nightlife.

Equipment:
Depending on Deal, you will get hooked up with a selection of surfboards and wetsuits. Of course, you can always bring your own gear. There is plenty of equipment to keep you surfing.

Surfing:
The kilometer long beach offers Surf spots that are ideal for both beginner and advanced surfers. We’ve teamed up with the local surf school “Famarasurf”, who manage our courses. Before you paddle out, we’ll give you a solid foundation with Tips and Tricks to manage the surf. For advanced surfers we recommend you rent a car, which can be rented for approx. 120 Euros per week. That way you’ll be quick to get to all the surf spots. The world famous wave in San Juan, where a WQS event takes place very year, is right by Famara. You’ve got further Points, Reef and beach breaks that offer something for every level of surfer. The waves on the Canary Islands are known to be strong, with their stand up sized barrels. Arrival:

Plane:
Fly to Arrecife with cheap flights daily from most major European Airports, for example with Air Berlin, Swiss, Iberia, etc. We’ll happily pick you up at the airport for a small fee of 25 Euro per ride. However, we recommend you rent a cheap car so you can properly discover the island.
